The photographic installation "Christophorus" shows my fascination for the clash of modern life with religious tradition.
Named after the patron of travelers, the work consists of four different parts: an arrangement of found footage taken from a benediction of cars, a book in which visitors of highway churches have been writing their concerns, a model car of the papamobil and three images of german highway churches.
Using different sources and materials, I examine how technology and prosperity combined with belief in the transcendental or even outright superstition, affects society.
